Delete Your Budget Mint Account
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This page explains how users of the Budget Mint app (by Onesttech) can request deletion of their account and associated data, as required by Google Play.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is in Budget Mint:
- Open the Budget Mint app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the danger zone and tap Delete Account.
- If asked, re-authenticate with your password, Google, or Apple account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then confirm deletion.
Account deletion cannot be undone. You will be signed out and returned to the login screen.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us and we will process your request:
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject: Budget Mint Account Deletion Request
- Include the email address used for your Budget Mint account (and Google/Apple sign-in email if different).
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
3. What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove or schedule removal of data associated with your account, including:
- Your authentication account (Firebase Auth)
- Local app data on the device used for in-app deletion (transactions, budgets, categories, debts, notes, profiles, and related records)
- Cloud backups synced to your user account (Firestore user data we maintain for backup/sync)
- Profile photos and similar account media linked to your account where stored in our cloud services
4. What may be retained
Some information may remain for a limited time or where required for other users:
- Shared Tours: Expenses and contributions you added to a shared Tour may remain visible to other Tour members so the group ledger stays accurate, until that Tour is removed by its participants or host processes.
- Service backups & logs: Infrastructure providers (such as Google Firebase) may retain encrypted backups or operational logs for a short retention period (typically up to about 30–90 days) before they are purged under their systems.
- Legal / security: We may retain limited records if required by law, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
5. Deleting data without deleting your account
You can delete many individual records inside Budget Mint (for example transactions, notes, debts, or profiles) without deleting your whole account. Full account deletion is available as described above.
